Security Analyst – Microsoft 365 – Tallahassee, FL
ASSYST is seeking a Security Analyst – Microsoft 365 to support our client project in Tallahassee, FL.
The Security Analyst will work under the direction of Network and End User Support Supervisors to assist in configuring, maintaining and providing support for the client’s Office 365 end user applications with an emphasis on security tools such as Intune, Bit Locker, Purview, etc. They will conduct research, create policy, implement security tools, provide staff training, inventory, remediate installed software vulnerabilities and update software installed on end user devices.
Responsibilities- Enroll and manage Windows, iOS, iPadOS, Android, and macOS devices into Office 365.
- Package and deploy Win
32, line-of-business (LOB), and store apps in Intune to create new installs and update currently installed software packages. - Set up Windows Update for Business rings and feature updates.
- Create and deploy sensitivity labels to classify, restrict, and encrypt documents.
- Configure trainable classifiers, exact data match (EDM), and sensitive information types.
- Understand Microsoft 365 license tiers (E3, E5, Business Premium) to know what features are available and evaluate features for secure implementation.
- Establish applicable security policies, best practices and baselines to onboard devices.
- Inventory, remediate installed software vulnerabilities and update software installed on end user devices.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related field or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of IT work experience with demonstrated knowledge in architecture design, software development, database management systems and systems integration in multi-platform environments.
- Extensive experience with Office 365 applications for end users and end user devices with an emphasis on security tools and applications.
- Extensive experience in desktop support of Microsoft products as well as software management used by end user devices.
