your specific responsibilities:

the manager in this position serves to support the bureau chief in system-support issues, asset management and coordination with the department's it office. The successful manager keeps initiatives on track and identifies where training and alignment is needed for future needs. The division is undergoing a major system transformation project, which affects all bureaus and teams for the three to five years of project engagement and business process transition.

This position will assist in the development and preparation of legislative and budget issues. This candidate should be a competent communicator and understand the intersection between technology and content, as the position oversees teams that do technical and content management of websites, email and an ai virtual agent. The incumbent also assists with mentoring mid-level management, quality assurance, and rapid process improvement initiatives throughout the bureau.

as a systems support manager, the incumbent makes recommendations to the bureau chief to improve management capabilities and practices through research, analysis and techniques to formulate solutions and strategies. The successful manager is able to make recommendations at a division leadership level to improve management capabilities. The manager ensures teams have the knowledge and skills to gather and write requirements, perform configuration and coding tasks, and test application changes before and after deployment;

develops and upholds proper quality assurance; and supports and reinforces training and skill development to provide high-quality operational support.
