We are seeking an experienced Systems Architect – AWS / Cloud Solutions to support a Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE) within a large enterprise IT environment.

We are seeking an experienced Systems Architect – AWS / Cloud Solutions to support a Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE) within a large enterprise IT environment. The role will focus on AWS cloud architecture, administration, infrastructure automation, security, governance, and cloud transformation initiatives
.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience designing and supporting secure, scalable, highly available cloud environments and working closely with infrastructure, development, security, and business teams.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field with 7 years of professional experience
  .
• Equivalent professional experience may substitute for the degree on a year-for-year basis.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and enterprise cloud architecture.
• Experience designing secure, scalable, highly available cloud solutions.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), preferably Terraform and AWS Cloud Formation.
• Strong understanding of cloud networking, security, IAM, monitoring, and cost optimization.
• Experience supporting production cloud environments and resolving complex technical issues.
• Strong communication, documentation, problem‑solving, and leadership skills.

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional certification.
• Experience working in multi‑cloud environments
  , including AWS, Azure, OCI, and/or GCP.
• Experience with cloud governance and cost optimization.
• Familiarity with Dev Ops, CI/CD, automation, and scripting.
• Experience in large enterprise or government environments.
• Experience with hybrid cloud and on‑premises‑to‑cloud migration initiatives.

• Design, implement, and maintain enterprise AWS cloud architectures.
• Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance across cloud initiatives.
• Establish and support cloud governance, standards, and operational practices.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and management using IaC tools.
• Support cloud migration, modernization, and transformation initiatives.
• Implement cloud security, IAM, compliance, and access management practices.
• Monitor cloud environments for performance, availability, security, and cost efficiency.
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and application issues and perform root‑cause analysis.
• Collaborate with application, infrastructure, security, and business teams to deliver cloud solutions.
• Evaluate emerging cloud technologies and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Develop and maintain architecture documentation, standards, and technical procedures.
• Provide technical mentoring and guidance to engineers and administrators.
• Participate in incident response and support critical outages or emergency situations as needed.
