Job Description

BIICS, Inc islooking to fill a Senior DB2 Database Administrator position. The position islocated in Tallahassee, FL and work is on-site
.

Responsibilities:

Daily operational and database administration activities
Conduct database performance monitoring and tuning
Develop and maintain database administration procedures and documentation
Perform SQL Code reviews
Assist with training/mentoring other technical staff
May also be required to perform other database or infrastructure activities as requested

Requirements

Potential candidate must possess the following:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience.
15 years combined experience in database administration for DB2 forz/OS, SQL Server 2008R2 and 2012, and Oracle 10g and above.
Advanced knowledge of DB2 for z/OS application integration,performance management and data base administration
Advanced knowledge of upgrading DB2 for z/OS
Advanced knowledge of DB2 for z/OS catalog maintenance
Advanced knowledge of DB2 for z/OS sub-system point in time recovery
Advanced knowledge of JCL
In depth knowledge of the z/OS integrated platform
In depth knowledge of CA GEN model management and application object support
In depth knowledge of ISPF
In depth knowledge of the ASG Scheduler
In depth knowledge of COBOL
In depth knowledge of the use and interpretation of DB2 for z/OS database monitoring tools
In depth knowledge of the use and interpretation of z/OS software monitoring tools
In depth knowledge of technical infrastructure implementation planning and coordinating
Solid working knowledge of z/OS started task creation and management
Solid working knowledge of IBI z/OS service support
Solid working knowledge of AFOPER commands
Solid working knowledge of RACF
Solid working knowledge of CICS
Solid working knowledge of IOF
Solid working knowledge of the technical requirements of Disaster Recovery
Solid working knowledge of Oracle application integration, performance management and data base administration

Preferred:

Experience with the FDOT integrated database infrastructure is a plus.
Knowledge of the FDOT Financial Management applications is a plus.
Knowledge of the FDOT integrated application environment is a plus
