Introduction
As a Linux System Administrator specializing in Oracle Linux, you will be responsible for installing, configuring, maintaining, and integrating UNIX-based operating systems and related hardware. You will troubleshoot system problems, monitor system activities, and optimize performance while ensuring system security. Additionally, you will work on designing disaster recovery plans, implementing security measures, and maintaining various applications and server infrastructure.
IntroductionAs a Linux System Administrator specializing in Oracle Linux, you will be responsible for installing, configuring, maintaining, and integrating UNIX-based operating systems and related hardware. You will troubleshoot system problems, monitor system activities, and optimize performance while ensuring system security. Additionally, you will work on designing disaster recovery plans, implementing security measures, and maintaining various applications and server infrastructure.
Responsibilities- Install, configure, and maintain Linux systems, operating systems, and physical/virtual servers
- Perform system maintenance, updates, and configurations
- Maintain system security, perform security audits, and grant permissions
- Troubleshoot system issues, identify and fix bugs, and rectify problems using monitoring systems
- Provide technical support and training to users for applications
- Coordinate with internal teams to address system and application failures
- Develop and implement new development tools and infrastructure
- Automate and improve development and release processes
- Test and examine code, analyze results, and ensure system safety against cybersecurity threats
- Identify technical problems, develop software updates and fixes, and work with software developers/engineers
- Plan projects, participate in project management decisions, and maintain documentation
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of IT work experience with UNIX-based systems
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) and 2 years of experience
- Knowledge of Dev Ops concepts, continuous integration, and continuous delivery
- Proficiency in high-level computer programming languages
- Experience in client/server development environments
- Understanding of UNIX-based hardware and software problems
- Familiarity with Oracle Cloud and relevant applications
