The Senior SAP Basis Administrator is responsible for the administration, maintenance, monitoring, performance tuning, security, and support of enterprise SAP environments. This role provides technical leadership for SAP landscape management, upgrades, migrations, disaster recovery, high availability, and system integration activities while ensuring optimal performance and reliability of mission-critical SAP systems.
Key Responsibilities- Administer and support SAP environments including Development, QA, and Production.
- Perform SAP installations, upgrades, patches, kernel updates, and system refreshes.
- Monitor system health, performance, availability, and capacity planning.
- Manage SAP transports, client copies, and landscape administration.
- Configure and support SAP security, user administration, and authorization processes.
- Troubleshoot SAP application, database, and infrastructure issues.
- Support SAP HANA and/or Oracle database administration activities.
- Implement and maintain backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and high-availability solutions.
- Support cloud and hybrid SAP deployments.
- Coordinate with SAP functional, development, infrastructure, and security teams.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, standards, and operational procedures.
- Support SAP project implementations, migrations, and upgrades.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of SAP Basis Administration experience.
- Experience supporting large enterprise SAP environments.
- Hands-on experience with:
- SAP Basis Administration
- SAP System Refreshes
- SAP Upgrades & Patching
- SAP Transport Management
- SAP Performance Tuning
- SAP Security Administration
- Experience with SAP HANA and/or Oracle databases.
- Experience with Linux and Windows server environments.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- SAP Certified Technology Associate (Basis Administration).
- Experience with:
- SAP S/4
HANA - SAP Solution Manager
- SAP Fiori
- SAP Cloud Platforms
- AWS, Azure, or GCP
- SAP S/4
- Experience designing Disaster Recovery and High Availability solutions.
- Experience supporting government, healthcare, or highly regulated industries.
