The Insurance Analyst IV manages multiple investigation and examination projects for the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation in Tallahassee, providing advanced technical research, market analysis, and project oversight to support the agency's regulatory mission. The role involves conducting independent insurance market analysis, designing examination plans, managing contractor teams, and delivering statutory compliance reviews on insurance industry conduct and practices. The incumbent will analyze policy forms, rates, claims handling, underwriting practices, and other regulatory matters while ensuring high-quality documentation and communication with stakeholders.
Keyqualifications
- Knowledge of basic insurance principles and risk management or experience with insurance regulatory environments
- Skilled in Microsoft Office programs with proficiency in Excel and Word
- Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data
- Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize multiple work assignments independently
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally
- Ability to understand, interpret, and apply laws, regulations, and procedures
