Injury Claims Examiner

GEICO is seeking an Injury Claims Examiner to fairly evaluate and resolve auto injury claims. In this role, you will investigate accidents, analyze medical records, review coverage, and determine liability and damages. You will communicate with claimants, attorneys, medical providers, and internal teams to gather facts, negotiate settlements, and ensure timely, accurate claim resolution. Using GEICO's systems and analytics, you'll document findings, manage caseloads, and comply with legal, regulatory, and company guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Investigate auto injury claims through interviews, document review, and fact gathering
• Analyze coverage, liability, and damages in accordance with policy terms and regulations
• Review and interpret medical records, bills, and reports to evaluate injury severity and causation
• Negotiate fair settlements with claimants, attorneys, and representatives
• Communicate clearly and professionally with customers, providers, and internal stakeholders
• Document claim activity, decisions, and rationale in GEICO systems with high accuracy
• Manage a caseload, prioritizing tasks to meet cycle time and quality standards
• Collaborate with legal, medical, and SIU resources when needed on complex claims
• Maintain compliance with state regulations, company policies, and industry best practices
• Participate in ongoing training and use data/analytics to improve claim outcomes
