The Senior Workers' Compensation Examiner in the Department of Financial Services assists workers' compensation specialists with reviewing and evaluating medical-only claims, processing and paying medical and legal bills, and reviewing First Report of Injury forms. Based in Tallahassee, this position works 8 a.m.–5 p.m. and requires a high school diploma plus experience or knowledge in workers' compensation claims, medical payments, or customer service.
Keyqualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Six months experience in processing medical payments or knowledge of medical terms
- Six months experience with workers' compensation claims in any capacity
- Six months experience in customer service and providing information to callers
- Ability to examine and evaluate workers' compensation data and conduct fact‑fact-finding investigations
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to work independently
