Private Client Services Practice Group works closely with high net worth individuals, family businesses, closely held entities, and charitable organizations to protect, preserve, and transition wealth. Attorneys advise on:
- Estate planning
- Tax planning
- Wealth transfer strategies
- Estate and trust administration
- International estate planning
- Estate and trust litigation
- Succession planning for family and closely held businesses
The team includes attorneys with advanced degrees, Florida Bar Board Certification, and backgrounds as CPAs, authors, and lecturers in estate planning topics.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement sophisticated estate planning strategies, including wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, gifting strategies, and wealth transfer techniques.
- Advise clients on estate, gift, and generation skipping transfer tax matters and prepare related tax filings.
- Represent fiduciaries—including personal representatives and trustees—in the administration of estates and trusts throughout Florida.
- Counsel closely held and family businesses on succession planning, restructuring, and governance matters.
- Provide guidance on international estate planning considerations for clients with multinational ties.
- Work collaboratively with partners and other attorneys across Florida offices while maintaining professional autonomy in client service.
- 5–7 years of relevant experience in estate planning, estate and gift taxation, estate and trust administration and related services for individuals, charitable organizations, foundations, and corporate fiduciaries (e.g., banks, trust companies).
- LL.M. in Taxation or Estate Planning required.
