OverviewThe Florida Gaming Control Commission is responsible for exercising all regulatory and executive powers of the state with respect to legal gaming, including pari‑mutuel wagering, cardrooms, slot machine facilities, oversight of gaming compacts, and other forms of gambling authorized by state law. The agency is overseen by five Commissioners who are appointed by the Governor, with Commissioners appointing an Executive Director who leads a team of nearly 200 staff members.
The mission of the Florida Gaming Control Commission is to preserve and protect the integrity of gaming activities through fair regulation, licensing, effective criminal investigation, and enforcement.
The Office of General Counsel supports the Commission by providing legal counsel on all matters under the Commission’s jurisdiction and prosecuting noncompliance with Florida’s gambling laws. As a Senior Attorney in the litigation unit, you will play a crucial role in all aspects of administrative and civil litigation, including advising the Commission on a variety of complex legal issues involving permitting, licensure, and compliance with Florida gambling laws;
conducting legal research, drafting charging documents and appellate briefs, and engaging in motion practice; representing the Commission in administrative and civil courts; and presenting cases in front of the Commission at scheduled meetings. This position will operate under the supervision of a Chief Attorney.

Experience with Florida’s Administrative Procedure Act.
