CRIMINAL CONFLICT AND CIVIL REGIONAL COUNSEL, 1ST REGION - ASSISTANT REGIONAL COUNSEL -

The Office of Criminal Conflict and Civil Regional Counsel has an opening in the Lake City office for an Attorney or a Certified Legal Intern (CLI) to handle criminal cases in Columbia and surrounding counties in the 3rd Circuit.

Represent and counsel the State of Florida in criminal matters, providing legal analysis, drafting pleadings, negotiating settlements, and appearing in court as required by the scope of the Regional Counsel function.

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Licensed and in good standing with the Florida Bar
• Strong oral and written advocacy skills

• Currently enrolled in an accredited law school
• Eligible for CLI certification under Florida rules
• Demonstrated interest in Criminal Law
• Strong legal writing and research skills
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and eager to learn
