Law Clerk - Low Income Tax Clinic

Legal Services of North Florida is seeking to hire a part‑time Law Clerk for our Tax Law Team to work directly with attorney and paralegal staff working to provide legal justice, financial relief, and tax advocacy. Join a large, non‑profit law firm with 140+ employees across eight offices in North Florida that offers hands‑on experience for law school students and supports a flexible schedule.

Law Clerk will receive $20.00/hour and is expected to work 10–20 hours a week. Law School graduates or students not currently enrolled this semester can work up to 30 hours a week. Specific days and schedule can be discussed.

Responsibilities include conducting legal research and writing; assisting the supervising attorney with client intake and interviews; working directly with clients; reviewing client needs and legal concerns to determine eligibility for assistance programs or possible legal remedies. This position is office‑based to allow for client assistance.

Qualifications:

a law school student, a recent law school graduate, or a student with at least one year of law school experience; ability to work independently and in a team; analytical skills to tackle complex issues; a commitment to positively impacting clients and the community.
