Position Specific Description

Seeking an experienced commercial transactions attorney to support complex commercial transactions for Next Era’s natural-gas fired generation, data center, and advanced nuclear development businesses. The attorney would be responsible for drafting and negotiating power purchase agreements, tolling agreements, joint venture agreements, joint development agreements, purchase and sale agreements, and other commercial agreements related to these fast-growing businesses. Applicant must be a team player with a demonstrated commercial acumen who relates well with clients, management, and counter parties and who can thrive in a fast-paced, demanding environment.

Prior experience with energy commercial transactional work is strongly preferred. This role will sit onsite out of our Juno Beach, FL HQ.

• Provides written and oral legal advice to clients
• Anticipates and guards against legal risks involving the organization
• Works to ensure budget compliance and avoids the need for outside counsel
• Ensures disclosure of potentially material legal issues to senior leadership
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned
