This Government Operations Consultant I position at the Florida Department of Law Enforcement provides independent and complex administrative support to the Public Records Section. The incumbent researches and coordinates retrieval of records, analyzes them for legal exemptions under Florida public records law, and manages requests from criminal justice agencies, Capital Post Conviction cases, and other legal demands. The role requires knowledge of Florida Statutes, ability to review and redact sensitive criminal investigative data, and strong organizational and communication skills.
Keyqualifications:
- Knowledge of Florida Statutes and public records law procedures
- Ability to read, analyze, and summarize criminal investigative and intelligence data
- Ability to review and determine applicability of records exemptions under Florida and federal law
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to plan, organize, and complete independent work assignments
