This full-time Paralegal role is an on-site position located in Tallahassee, FL. The Paralegal will support attorneys with case management across personal injury, medical malpractice, wrongful death, and eminent domain matters, including organizing files, tracking deadlines, and maintaining case calendars. Daily responsibilities include preparing and formatting legal documents, drafting correspondence and pleadings, reviewing records and discovery materials, and summarizing medical and accident reports.
The role involves conducting legal and factual research, assisting with trial preparation, coordinating with clients, courts, and external parties, and helping assemble exhibits and evidentiary materials. The Paralegal will also support client communication by scheduling meetings, documenting case updates, and helping ensure responsive, accurate, and professional interactions.
- Strong foundation in Law, including familiarity with personal injury, medical malpractice, wrongful death, and litigation concepts.
- Proficiency in Legal Document Preparation, including drafting pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and correspondence.
- Effective Communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, attorneys, court personnel, and external parties.
- Advanced Research capabilities for legal, medical, and factual issues, including use of legal databases and public records.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in Document Review, including analysis of medical records, accident reports, and discovery materials.
- Relevant experience as a paralegal or legal assistant in a litigation-focused practice is preferred.
- Paralegal certificate or degree in paralegal studies, legal studies, or a related field is beneficial; equivalent experience will be considered.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with standard office and legal software, including word processing, case management, and document management tools.
