Trusts & Estates Litigation Attorney

The Opportunity

Williams Parker, the region’s largest and oldest law firm founded in 1925, is seeking an experienced Trusts & Estates Litigation Attorney to join its growing practice in Sarasota, Florida. The ideal candidate will bring 10 or more years of substantial civil trial experience handling complex trust, estate, probate, fiduciary, and inheritance disputes.

Candidates must be licensed to practice law in Florida. A portable book of business is highly preferred; however, Williams Parker also welcomes attorneys who bring a strong professional reputation, deep substantive experience, strategic judgment, and the ability to contribute meaningfully to a sophisticated litigation practice supported by the firm’s cross-disciplinary depth.

• Sophisticated trusts and estates litigation experience. Ten or more years of substantial civil trial experience handling complex trust, estate, probate, fiduciary, and inheritance disputes.
• Strategic judgment and courtroom capability. A demonstrated ability to assess complex legal and factual issues, anticipate challenges, manage discovery, develop effective case strategies, and advocate persuasively through trial.
• Exceptional advocacy and client service. The ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly through written advocacy, oral argument, negotiation, and client counsel while building trusted relationships with clients, colleagues, and professional advisors.
• Professional presence and disciplined execution. Sound judgment, initiative, reliability, and accountability, together with the ability to manage demanding timelines, multiple priorities, expert witnesses, investigators, opposing counsel, and other participants in complex litigation.
• Commitment to practice growth. A strong professional reputation and an active approach to cultivating referral relationships, deepening client engagements, developing new business, and contributing to the continued growth of the practice and the firm.
• Education and Florida licensure. A Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school and active membership in The Florida Bar in good standing.
