Priano Marchelli (Miami) is a global freight forwarding and logistics company specializing in services for the cruise and marine industry.
Based in Doral, Florida, we operate a 30,000 sq.f. TSA‑certified bonded warehouse providing long‑term and short‑term warehousing, cross‑docking, container loading, crating, and repacking for air and ocean freight shipments.

OverviewThe Operations Manager is a senior‑level, fast‑paced logistics position requiring a proactive leader with a minimum of five years of strong, functional industry experience managing complex supply chains, resolving bottlenecks, and overseeing both clerical and warehouse staff while ensuring compliance with maritime regulations and company standards.
Responsibilities- Establish and execute company strategy related to domestic and international freight movements, staying aware of industry trends and best practices.
- Oversee daily marine and project services, supplying logistics for ship owners, ship management companies, and repair activities.
- Recruit, develop and motivate staff to provide a world‑class customer experience while meeting or exceeding client expectations.
- Ensure the Miami office has the necessary tools to succeed and grow in international product lines in a sustained and consistent fashion.
- Collaborate with current and prospective logistics service providers, as well as internal Priano Marchelli and AIT functions, to develop the best overall strategy.
- Execute strategies by establishing, measuring and managing applicable metrics with service providers, vendors and internal teams to ensure timely and efficient flow of product worldwide.
- Education:
High‑school degree or GED and relevant work experience. - Experience:
Minimum five years of strong functional and logistical expertise in the shipping industry. - Specialized knowledge in freight forwarding, customs brokerage, warehousing, and emergency shipments.
- Analytical thinking, technical proficiency (MS Office required, Cargowise preferred) and strong communication skills to manage complex, fast‑paced supply chains.
- Inventory management, vendor negotiation, knowledge of maritime regulations and urgent supply shortages.
- Ability to evaluate data, forecast demand and rapidly resolve unforeseen logistical bottlenecks.
- Familiarity with shipping documentation, customs regulations and safety codes.
- High accuracy in managing inventory and tracking, as well as negotiation skills.
- Experience collaborating across multiple streams and lines of business, influencing key stakeholders.
- Strong people‑leadership skills with the ability to recruit, develop and motivate staff.
- Demonstrated emotional intelligence, strategic communication skills and adaptability.
- Ability to work within a team, lead by example and encourage a positive growth mindset among direct reports.
