Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist with Security Clearance

Position: SUPERVISORY LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST with Security Clearance
Location: Tyndall Air Force Base

Duties
* Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of the Plans and Integration Section ensuring logistics plans, deployment/reception operations, Base Support and Expeditionary (BAS&E) Site Plans, War Reserve Material and Support Agreements comply with legal and regulatory requirements and meet customer needs. Develops integrated organizational and contingency plans goals and objectives. Researches, interprets, analyzes, and applies logistics readiness policies and regulations.
* Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities.
* Plans and executes contingency, emergency, and/or expeditionary deployments and receptions for the installation.
* Responsible for providing training, resources, and logistics systems to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the installation deployment processes.
* Represents the Plans and Integration Section with a variety of installation and functional area organizations. Requirements Conditions of employment

* This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Demand Reduction Program (cont'd). * (cont'd) Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing. Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions presents a clear threat to the mission of the Air Force, national security, and public safety.

* This position may function as the trainer/certifier for officer and enlisted personnel assigned to Logistics Readiness and/or Logistics Plans Air Force Specialty Codes (AFSCs).
* Must be able to obtain and maintain a TIER 5/TOP SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE.
* Employee may be required to work extended or other than normal duty hours to include evenings and weekends and may be subject to recall for contingency or expeditionary support.
* Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft.
* This is a Supervisory Position." A 1-year supervisory probationary period is required if applicant selected has not previously met this requirement.
* This is a Mission-Essential position performing a Mission-Critical-Function which must continue uninterrupted after the occurrence of an emergency and continued through full resumption of all functions.
* This is a Centrally Managed Position in the 0346 Logistics Management Series Field. PCS will be paid in accordance with JTR Vol. 2 and applicable Air Force Regulations. Qualifications In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions, series 0346.

SPECIALIZED

EXPERIENCE:

Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-11, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes knowledge of logistics management operations that involve planning, coordinating, or evaluating contingency support, logistics readiness deployment and execution, war reserve materiel management, base/expeditionary support, sustainment, redeployment, mobility bags/small arms weapons, air terminal operations (for non-AMC bases), and logistics command and control.

Knowledge of logistics management information systems necessary for planning and executing deployment operations (e.g., Logistics Module (LOGMOD), Deliberate Crisis Action Planning and Execution Systems (DCAPES), AEF UTC Reporting Tool.) Knowledge of safety and security regulations, practices, and procedures. FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS:
Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-11 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-12 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks.
