The client islooking for a Logistics and Import/Export Specialist to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in import operations
, particularly sea freight
, and will be responsible for managing and overseeing the movement of goods internationally. This role ensures the timely delivery of goods while maintaining compliance with international trade regulations
.
- Logistics Management
:- Plan, coordinate, and monitor the movement of goods both domestically and internationally.
- Select appropriate transportation methods to ensure cost-effective and timely delivery
. - Build and maintain relationships with freight forwarders, carriers, and other logistics partners.
- Import/Export Operations
:- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and customs requirements
. - Collaborate with customs brokers to facilitate smooth clearance processes.
- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and customs requirements
- Compliance and Documentation
:- Stay up-to-date on import/export regulations
, tariffs
, and trade agreements
. - Ensure accurate and thorough documentation and record-keeping for audits and compliance purposes.
- Stay up-to-date on import/export regulations
- Problem-Solving
:- Resolve issues related to delays, damages, or discrepancies in shipments.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
- Minimum 4-5 years of experience in Import & Logistics
. - Sea Freight experience is essential.
- Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management
, Logistics
, International Trade
, or related fields. - Strong understanding of international trade laws
, Incoterms
, and customs procedures
. - Proficiency in logistics software and ERP systems
. - Excellent organizational, problem-solving
, and communication skills. - Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Skills:
- Knowledge of free trade agreements and tariff classifications
. - Experience handling perishable or hazardous goods (if applicable).
- Bilingual to effectively liaise with global partners
. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook).
