Machinery Maintenance Mechanic; CBA Rate $35.08/Hr.

REPORTS TO:

Supervisor

• Operate and maintain gun systems in support of gun testing, including Gatling type guns (GAU-8A, M61A1, GAU-2), single barrel automatic weapons (MK-44, L-60), and single shot Mann barrel systems (50 cal, 20mm, 25mm, 30mm, 40mm, 105mm Howitzer).
• Follow Air Force Technical Orders for operation and maintenance; maintain logs in a database format.
• Load, fire, download, and repair gun systems.
• Operate heavy equipment (forklifts, ditch witches, farm tractors, mowing equipment) as required and use appropriate safety equipment.
• Configure systems for tests in accordance with test directives and methods of tests.
• Perform general housekeeping and related tasks; provide additional support as needed.
• Work extended hours and weekends as required.
• Adhere to Quality, Safety, Environmental, Security and Administrative policies; support process improvement.

• High school graduate; five years' experience in gun maintenance.
• Valid Driver's License; good computer skills preferred.
• Must successfully complete a National Agency Check with Investigation (NACI) and be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

• May perform additional duties such as security, environmental, management, safety, etc.
• May handle hazardous materials or hazardous waste; respirator and ALARA training may be required to assist in radiological areas (RCA at Test Area C-64).
• Background investigation and drug testing required; contingent upon clearance.
• Adhere to safety and environmental regulations and wear company-provided PPE.

• Work indoors and outdoors; environment may be dirty, greasy, and noisy.
• Physical ability to crawl, bend, stoop, stand; may move or lift heavy items; good hand-eye coordination required.
