As a Mechanic Assistant
, you’ll help keep our fleet of buses in top condition. You’ll perform preventive maintenance and support the team to ensure safe, reliable transit for everyone.

• Check buses and ensure buses are in safe operating condition; perform repairs or hold buses as needed.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance service on electric, gas and diesel-powered vehicles and diagnose problems.
• Change, repair and replace tires and brakes; rotate and balance tires; perform front end alignments.
• Diagnose and repair wheelchair lifts.
• Replace parts as necessary; rebuild bus parts, tie rod assemblies, etc.
• Pick up parts; clean shop regularly.

No bus-driving experience is necessary, but you do need to have a good driving record!
