Maintenance Assistant

• Assist with maintenance and repair of facility systems and equipment

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance tasks

• Support compliance with Life Safety Code and skilled nursing facility regulations

• Maintain plumbing, electrical, HVAC, alarm, and life safety systems

• Repair and maintain appliances, washers, dryers, and commercial kitchen equipment

• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and safety concerns

• Maintain clean and organized work areas

• Work collaboratively with leadership and department staff

• Experience in maintenance, preferably in a skilled nursing or healthcare setting

• Knowledge of life safety and regulatory requirements in skilled nursing facilities

• Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, alarm systems, and appliances

• Strong time management and prioritization skills

• TELS knowledge or certification preferred

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Excellent communication skills

• Valid Florida driver’s license and reliable transportation

• Full-time

• On-call availability may be required
