Responsibilities- Responsible for the overall management and coordination of daily operations for competitive sports venues including the Rec Sports Plex (RSP), Main Campus Fields (MCF), Westside Courts, Tully Gym, Harkins Field, and Speicher Tennis Center.
- Supervises and mentors the Recreation Coordinator for Competitive Sport Facilities. Assists with the recruitment, selection, hiring, training, evaluation, and termination of facility supervisors, program assistants, and maintenance staff totaling up to 2 FTE of part‑time staff. Provides leadership for the overall training and development of OPS student employees in collaboration with Coordinator.
- Coordinates regular and special event facility scheduling for various user groups including Campus Recreation, registered student organizations, University groups, and external (non‑FSU) groups. Provides direction and support for all aspects of facility rentals. Provides detailed consultation to user groups to ensure scheduled activities are within Departmental and University event management guidelines. Responsible for coordinating required contractual agreements and all financial accountability, including invoicing and payment tracking.
- Develops, administers, and monitors the annual budget for facility operations including staff wages, expenses, and revenue generation.
- Works with Maintenance Staff to evaluate and coordinate the purchasing of related facility equipment. Oversees solicitation, evaluation, and execution of vendor contracts.
Master’s degree in Sport Management, Physical Education, Recreation/Leisure Administration or related field, and two years of experience; or a Bachelor's degree and four years of related experience.
