Operations Manager, Supply Chain / Intl. Trade

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education
- 5+ professional years in Project Engineering, Project Management, or Supply Chain Management (e.g., Procurement, Subcontract Administration, Subcontract Management, Negotiation, or Category Management)
- Ability to travel approximately 25%
- US Citizen eligible to obtain and maintain a US SECRET clearance; must successfully pass a drug test and background check to access classified information
- Master's degree from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education
- 10+ years in Project Engineering, Project Management, or Supply Chain Management (e.g., Procurement, Subcontract Administration, Subcontract Management, Negotiation, or Category Management)
- Experience managing performance, design, or procurement of specialized materials, complex assemblies, and equipment in the defense industry
- Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM)
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office
- Detail‑oriented, teamwork‑oriented with organizational skills
- Effective relationship‑building skills with peers, leadership, and suppliers
- Exceptional strategic communication skills (written, verbal, presentation)
- Positive attitude and enthusiasm for teamwork
- Critical thinking and problem‑solving in fast‑paced environments
- Data‑driven decision making with a record of successful performance
- Experience leading cross‑functional Supplier Management Teams
- Knowledge of FAR/DFAR and contract types
- Experience with long‑form subcontracts and DoD programs
- Professional negotiation experience and ability to resolve contractual and technical issues to closure
- Experience improving team and supplier performance
- Hold procurement management and delegation responsibility for all applicable supplier agreements and contracts within the established authority
- Perform subcontract administrator duties, including:
- Ensuring all artifacts necessary for a compliant procurement document are present and adequate
- Engaging with the Subcontracts Manager Peer Reviewer to ensure compliant packages are presented
- Engaging with Subcontracts Manage Compliance for process compliance
- Helping to develop subcontract specifications, statements of work, and scope
- Researching and evaluating procurement sources and qualifications
- Managing compliant placement of purchase orders
The position requires onsite work at a Lockheed Martin Space facility in either Denver, CO or Titusville, FL. Teleworking is not supported.
Eligibility and ClearanceApplicants must be US citizens, be able to obtain and maintain a US SECRET clearance, and must pass a drug test and background check. No clearance is required to apply, but an interim clearance is required prior to start.
