Job Summary
Energy Services Project Manager – Tallahassee, FL. Responsibilities include project financials, administration, implementation, management, and customer satisfaction for all assigned projects. Lead project teams through all facets, serve as point of contact for stakeholders, manage portfolio of projects (small to large multi‑building or complex construction projects), support sales functions with scope development and maintain knowledge of current job market and pricing strategies.
Responsibilities- Maintain customer satisfaction by investigating concerns, implementing corrective action, and developing communication plans with internal and external stakeholders to provide timely project updates.
- Lead all aspects of project administration including adherence to contract penalty clauses and/or liquidated damages, analyzing reporting to identify project deficiencies and providing guidance on corrective actions.
- Manage projects to business compliance, project documentation, safety guidelines, and navigate governing agency requirements (state, city, county, federal, local).
- Financially manage all aspects of projects: cash flow, monthly forecasted cost/revenue, forecasted cost at completion, monitor expenses, collection support, conduct cost analysis, and prepare communications for monthly backlog review with leaders.
- Validate project scope, cost, schedule by reviewing contract documents, holding internal meetings, establishing customer expectations, identifying risks, and developing mitigation plans.
- Utilize properly qualified subcontractors, oversee subcontractor RFQ process, award subcontracts, manage subcontractor execution, and collaborate with subcontractors to establish communication guidelines for project progress, billing expectations, and safety.
- Create and maintain project schedules using tasks, dependencies, milestones.
- Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or Construction Project Management degree preferred.
- 3–5 years of experience with Project Schedules / PM Construction software.
- Extensive financial analysis experience: cost segregation, margin analysis, earned value management (EVM), or similar project‑based financial methodologies.
- Strong financial project management ability with technical or construction knowledge to manage scope, schedule, and risk.
- Prior experience resolving collections and customer financial issues during project execution.
- Valid driver’s license for minimum 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations (DUI, Hit & Run, license suspension, reckless/careless driving, or multiple minor infractions in past 3 years).
