Talquin Electric Cooperative, Inc. is seeking a Member Services Supervisor for our Bradfordville office.
Must have a high school diploma or its equivalent. An Associate’s Degree or higher preferred. Education
must be sufficient to enable individual to satisfactorily understand and carry out job requirements and
responsibilities in an acceptable and safe manner. Requires a minimum of five (5) years of progressive
experience in a consumer oriented discipline. Leadership ability to make effective supervisory decisions and
demonstrated planning and organizational skills required. Must be able to thoroughly understand and carry
out the policies and procedures relating to the day-to-day operation of Member Services offices in a
conscientious and effective manner. Must project an attitude which is service oriented. Must be able to deliver
accurate work products and effectively supervise office and field staff. Requires demonstrated excellent
interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills for interaction with other supervisory staff, employees,
Members and the general public. Requires a valid driver’s license.
Must be able to pass Cooperative physical examination as well as pre-employment drug screen and
background check. Must live at a primary residence located within a 30 minute drive, as determined solely by
management, of any Talquin Electric office facility.

Responsibilities
  • Perform duties in a safe, satisfactory, competent and timely manner.
  • Assist the Member Services Manager.
  • Direct, monitor and evaluate the performance of the MSRs, Metering & Service Technicians, and other
    assigned personnel to include the status of assigned projects and activities as well as preparing the related
    reports.
  • Maintain compliance with and support policies and procedures of the Cooperative and its Board with
    respect to safety, Human Resources, environmental and other matters.
  • Assist in the evaluating, interviewing and recommending for hire of new employees under the supervision
    of this position as well as scheduling the appropriate training as needed.
  • Manage MSR availability for call center, drive thru, service orders, collections, and other duties.
  • Resolve and document employee conflicts, concerns or complaints in an efficient and effective manner.
  • Complete performance evaluations of employees in a fair and timely manner.
  • Ensure work assignments are accurately completed to meet deadlines.
  • Investigate and respond to Member inquiries and complaints.
  • Promote effective utilization of CIS tools and resources through procedures and processes.
  • Maintain office records in accordance with retention schedules.
  • Coordinate with other Departments to complete tasks in an effective and timely manner.
  • Coordinate with local governmental authorities regarding the connection of services.
  • Schedule Field Personnel vehicle maintenance and repairs as needed.
  • Assist in accident investigations and ensure that procedures are followed for obtaining medical care and
    drug screens.
  • Favorably maintain the appearance of the Office facilities and grounds.
  • Ensure that measures affecting security of the Office Personnel and facilities are adhered to and
    recommend improvements to security measures as needed.
  • Assist in Department budget preparations.
  • Abide by the Union Contracts and ensure that employees understand the responsibilities of both the
    employer and employee under the agreement.
  • Coordinate training and safety programs as needed.
  • Maintain a standard of excellent attendance and punctuality and enforce a similar standard on all
    employees.
  • Exhibit and promote a strong work ethic as an example to employees.
  • Assist with any requested duties during storm events or emergencies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
