Job Summary

The Relationship Manager – Community Development at Addition Financial plays a pivotal role in advancing the credit union’s mission of promoting inclusive prosperity and economic well-being within the communities we serve. This position is responsible for cultivating strategic partnerships, supporting community development membership goals, and delivering expert financial guidance. The Relationship Manager also leads Community Development efforts, delivers financial educations, and works collaboratively across departments to drive growth through mission‑aligned deposits and meaningful outreach initiatives.

Candidate must be familiar with Thomasville, GA market.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships that support Community Development goals and drive membership growth.
  • Meet or exceed individual key performance indicators (KPIs) and maintain scorecard goals aligned with department objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with community organizations, including our A+ Partners, nonprofit organizations, chambers of commerce, and other key stakeholders.
  • Develop and execute strategies to support membership acquisition, lending, and investment initiatives within the community development framework.
  • Deliver impactful financial education workshops to community members and partners, promoting financial wellness and empowerment.
  • Represent Addition Financial as a thought leader through participation in conference panels, workshops, webinars, and community forums.
  • Plan and coordinate community events, site visits, and seminars—including logistics, staffing, materials, follow‑up communications, and content development.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and branch teams to deliver event support to business partners, schools, and community groups.
  • Support the development and execution of strategies to attract and retain mission‑aligned deposits that drive sustainable membership growth.
  • Contribute to organization‑wide initiatives and projects that align with the credit union’s strategic objectives.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, community needs, and regulatory updates to ensure continued relevance and compliance.
  • This role requires occasional travel within assigned market areas and may include evening and weekend availability to accommodate community events.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned in support of department and organizational goals.
Requirements

Education:

  • Masters Degree preferred. High School Diploma, or GED Equivalent minimum required.

Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience in banking, community development finance, or related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to build, manage and strengthen internal and external relationships.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills, along with ability to facilitate between groups of employees and clients to achieve common goals and corporate objectives.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to community development, lending, and investment.

Any applicable system or program knowledge:

  • Strong software skills, including all Microsoft Office suite products (i.e., Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.), or other spreadsheet and word processing skills.
