Manager, Strategic Resilience. Hybrid position in Tallahassee, Florida.
CompensationBase salary $100,000 to $120,000. Offer based on match and location.
Pay range: $89,222.00 - $.
Key Responsibilities- Support and manage components of complex programs under the direction of a Senior Manager or Director.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for client program staff; support senior leadership in executive engagements.
- Lead coordination and execution of all program activities, including schedule, budget, and scope.
- Participate in and support client meetings, stakeholder briefings, and presentations.
- Coordinate clients’ innovation and resilience priorities, secure grant funding, and successfully implement federally and state-funded programs.
- Manage and coordinate project staff and subcontractors on assigned tasks or work streams, with oversight from senior leadership as appropriate.
- Coordinate across critical infrastructure and natural hazard disciplines to deliver high-quality strategies and advice to clients.
- Maintain a complete understanding of all applicable program policies, requirements, procedures, guidelines, and possess knowledge of regulatory and statutory compliance requirements for BIL and IRA related programs, FEMA, and similar programs/projects.
- Monitor program performance status and establish necessary tools for control over program results.
- Provide regular updates to project leadership on milestones, risks, and deliverables.
- Support business development activities, including proposal development.
- Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field (DM, GM, EM, Energy Policy, Public Policy, Economics) or 8 years of DOE, EPA, FEMA, or other federal or state agency/local government project management experience focused on infrastructure modernization, clean energy transition and/or resilience/sustainability.
- 5+ years of experience and demonstrated success managing complex multi-disciplinary teams to achieve high levels of production, meet tight deadlines, and deliver compliant, quality work products.
- 3+ years of DOE, EPA, FEMA, and/or other federal or state agency/local government project management experience focused on infrastructure modernization, clean energy transition and/or resilience/sustainability.
- 3+ years of experience in grant writing and/or grant management including quality control, federal cross-cutting requirement compliance, and reporting.
- Willing and able to travel to the client site in Tallahassee regularly as requested.
- Willing and able to travel (flight and vehicle) throughout the United States for work needs as requested.
- Valid current U.S. driver’s license and can successfully pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check.
- Master’s or higher-level degree in a related field.
- Experience in the energy sector, specifically working with utilities, Federal agencies and/or state energy offices.
- Familiarity with disaster planning, recovery, and mitigation, and using grants management systems.
- Experience managing tasks or work streams within large, multi million dollar programs.
- Certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
- Proven track record of leading a team and accomplishing successful business results.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, emotional intelligence, critical thinking skills, and integrity and ethics.
- Team player with the demonstrated ability to build organizational capability, motivate teaming partners/staff to ensure high levels of engagement, and work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project Management Software).
