Position: PROJECT MANAGER
Location: Tallahassee

The Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and ensuring successful completion of projects.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Manages the day-to-day operational aspects of assigned projects; ensures that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.
  • Develops and implements project plans according to customer specifications; defines Scope of Work (SOW), goals, and deliverables; involves all relevant stakeholders to determine priorities, ensure technical feasibility, and manage progress.
  • Manages timelines, risks, and deliverables according to scope.
  • Establishes and coordinates project implementation schedule to include:
    Kick-off meeting, installations, training, database builds, shipping and billing schedules.
  • Serves as primary Point of Contact (POC); provides ongoing communication for customers, various teams, and stakeholders.
  • Manages critical functions of operations management to improve quality, reduce costs, manage inventory, and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Prepares progress reports for stakeholders including issues encountered and resolutions.
  • Determines the customers’ goals and needs, manages expectations accordingly; provides tools, resources, and ongoing support for successful, self-sufficient operation.
  • Updates customer database to ensure accurate customer specific information; utilizes database for equipment, shipping, and correspondence information.
  • Communicates with Distributors negotiating quotes; coordinates site visits, installations, and schedules according to scope of work.
  • Supports various teams, including marketing, regional sales managers, product managers, and engineers, as needed.
  • Prepares Bid Proposals, Request for Proposals (RFP) and other reports, as required.
  • Recommends viable solutions for all platforms and process improvement for flawless execution of projects and guaranteed customer satisfaction.
  • Reports and escalates issues to management, as needed.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by upper management.
  • Updates job knowledge and maintains proficiency by attending conferences and participating in educational opportunities and professional organizations.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • BS in Business Management, Marketing, or closely related field; relevant years’ experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Requires a consistent and dependable work history, ideally reflecting 3-5 years of tenure with each previous employer.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, and project software.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in Project Management or Account Management.
  • Contracting and Fleet Management experience, preferred.
  • Marketing and Technical experience and/or aptitude, a plus.
  • Ability to represent Syntech with the highest level of behavior and integrity at all times.
  • Protect the organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with trust, respect, and dependability.
  • Clear communicator with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail and process-oriented; able to maintain accurate documentation.
  • Solid organizational and time management skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects at various stages involving cross-functional departments, stakeholders, customers, distributors, and vendors, ensuring success.
  • Self-starter; able to work in a friendly, fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • Proven ability to successfully meet deadlines and complete workload assignments.
  • Ability to develop and adapt creative solutions to unique projects.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
