Electric Motor Winder Apprentice

Overview

The Winding Apprentice will support the motor repair team by learning and assisting in the disassembly, cleaning, and rewinding of electric motors. This entry-level role is ideal for individuals with mechanical aptitude and a strong interest in electrical systems who are eager to develop hands-on skills in a supportive, team-oriented environment.

• Assist in disassembling electric motors and documenting findings.
• Learn to strip, clean, and prepare motor components for rewinding.
• Help wind coils and install them into stators under supervision.
• Operate shop tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow safety protocols and company procedures at all times.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Mechanical aptitude and interest in electrical systems.
• Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced technicians.
• Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Reliable transportation and punctuality.
