Position: Cultivation Technician I
Location: Tallahassee

About the Job

The Cultivation Technician performs labor to assist in the upkeep, stocking, and fulfillment of growing cannabis, including, but not limited to watering, feeding, flushing, pruning, washing, cloning, transplanting, harvesting, and facility maintenance under the supervision of the Cultivation General Manager. Attention to detail is essential.
Note:
This is a 90 day temp to hire position.

What You Will Do
  • Perform tasks in the indoor harvest grow and support cultivation activities.
  • Mother plant maintenance, cloning, transplanting, nutrients and pH management, water management, positive airflow, temperature and humidity control, pest and disease control, IPM program implementation, and plant transfer from veg to flowering.
  • Manage plant scheduling and organization to project plant needs on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis to optimize yield.
  • Cataloguing and maintaining organization of plants, tags, and pruning biomass.
  • Maintain and follow the cultivation department policies and procedures.
  • Wash and sanitize equipment; scout tools to ensure they are free of pests, viruses, or disease.
  • Adapt to various strains and adjust techniques to maintain steady pace and quality.
  • Follow clean-up routines for processing areas and equipment at end of shifts.
  • Demonstrate accuracy and timeliness to meet production standards and goals.
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness of the cultivation facility.
  • Work cooperatively with team members and accept constructive feedback to maintain quality standards and production goals.
What We Are Looking For
  • Minimum age of 21 years or older and ability to pass a criminal background check.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
  • Preferred: prior agricultural/warehouse/manufacturing/labor experience.
  • Ability to work in various areas as needed by supervision; willingness to assist with cleaning, packaging, or other locations as required.
  • Ability to identify issues with cannabis strains/products and communicate with supervisors.
  • Basic understanding of cannabis laws and regulations; a willingness to deepen knowledge of the industry and applicable rules.
  • Ability to work well with others and adapt to policy and procedure changes; frequent interaction with supervisors.
  • Use independent judgment regarding product processing with focus on quality, projections, and goals.
  • Positive attitude, self-motivation, and ability to motivate others to maintain a cohesive team and high-quality product.
  • Effective time management to meet goals while producing quality product.
  • Ability to follow basic instructions and accept constructive criticism from managers.
  • Ability to understand and implement company and cultivation department rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Willingness to learn and contribute to cultivation with other areas as needed.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills; ability to collaborate with staff and supervisors.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements /Work Environment
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally without assistance or 100 lbs. with assistance.
  • Regularly required to carry, grasp, lift, walk, stand, bend/crouch, stoop, stretch, talk, hear, see, and perform repetitive motions.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods and work in varying temperature and humidity conditions.
  • Must not be allergic to or afraid of insects.
