Summary:

Honeycomb Company of America, Inc. is looking for a strong, organized leader who will be responsible for managing work order priorities and supervising activities of workers engaged in building a variety of aircraft structural assemblies in a fast-paced environment. This candidate will be responsible for adhering to and planning for annual audits including AS9100 and NADCAP, as well as maintaining a high-level of quality, consistency, and organization in the work cell on a daily basis.

This candidate is responsible for supervising, managing, providing on-the-job training, motivating and holding employees accountable for daily/weekly/monthly throughput goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide their internal customers with correct products and services, on-time.
  • Create, communicate, and accomplish daily department schedules.
  • Keep Work Orders and associated documentation with each part throughout the manufacturing process and providing documentation to their internal customer.
  • Retain part traceability throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Keep Cetec order location data current and correct.
  • Possess a broad working knowledge of all HCOA Operation Procedures or Work Instructions.
  • Implement and maintain a 5S environment at all times.
  • Ensure team members understand responsibility of meeting product quality requirements.
  • Analyze work orders and motivate employees to ensure compliance.
  • Manage employee's attendance, performance, and production output ensuring jobs are completed in a timely manner.
  • Interpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers, and assign duties.
  • Plan flow of materials through department and develop physical layout of machines according to work orders.
  • Interface with other departments to ensure customer deadlines are met.
  • Have the ability and desire to cross-train and learn other processes outside of the immediate area of responsibility.
  • Inspect and measure parts and products to verify conformance to specifications.
  • Develop, recommend, and implement measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
  • Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew.
  • Plan daily/weekly/monthly throughput.
  • Maintain a continuous improvement focus across all aspects of the work area, including improving technician skillsets and establishing a well-balanced, cross-trained team.
  • Submit requisitions when tools or other items are needed and inspect materials upon receipt.
  • Complete personnel performance reviews.
  • All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

Minimum:

  • Associate degree or equivalent from four-year college or technical school.
  • Three years of progressive experience in people leadership, including supervision, training, mentoring, and team and individual performance accountability.
  • Aerospace Manufacturing industry experience a plus.
  • Experience with composites and/or metal-to-metal bonding a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel and PowerPoint a plus.
  • Work Authorization:
    Must be a US Citizen with the ability to pass the Defense National Agency Check IAW DoDD 5200.2.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is constantly required to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery including but not limited to telephone, mouse, and keyboard.
