The Feed Mill Management Trainee position is an entry-level supervisory position through which the Trainee will focus on development of managerial and professional skills at a commercial feed mill facility. Teamwork and customer service skills are vitally important as the Trainee works directly and indirectly with employees, supervisors, and managers.

Responsibilities

* Supervisory responsibilities, in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws, include planning, assigning, and directing work, addressing complaints and resolving problems.

* Trainee will enthusiastically pursue, and be flexible to, learning & experience in multiple areas such as:

* Organizing feed deliveries, feed blending, and delivery truck loading.

* Checking feed formulas for correct ingredients.

* Testing samples and weighing ingredients.

* Sampling outgoing feed.

* Ensuring proper inventories.

* Operating the grain dryer.

* Maintaining rodent and insect collection.

* Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree (B.A. /B.S.) in management or poultry science from a four-year college or university, or four to ten years related experience and/or training is required for this position.

* Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

* Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.

* A valid driver's license and forklift certificate may be required for this position.

* Bilingual skills are a plus.

Salary Range

USD $60,000.00 - USD $60,000.00 /Annually
