Job Summary
Are you a self‑motivated person who strives for welding excellence and eager to learn and apply technical welding principles? In this role you will assist both production and engineering functions as they relate to welded connections. We’re looking for engaged individuals with a strong desire for professional development, excellent communication skills, and who strive to improve quality, productivity, and safety throughout Vermeer welding.
WhatYou’ll Do
- High School Diploma.
- Technical School or skilled trade program in welding technology, auto tech, diesel tech, industrial/manufacturing systems tech, ag systems tech or related field.
- Minimum three years experience related to welding in non‑destructive testing or visual inspection, maintenance, tooling, continuous improvement, or quality technician – and physical welding experience.
- Basic understanding of weld design guidelines, standards/codes, problem solving, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to visually inspect welding quality against the appropriate acceptance criteria required.
- Hands‑on skill in SMAW, FCAW, SAW, CAC, and OFC/PAC for manual and automated processes preferred.
- Comprehensive knowledge of safely operating general industrial tools required.
- Hands‑on skill operating company or similar industrial, construction, or agricultural/environmental equipment preferred.
- Vermeer Welder Level III or qualified FCAW + GMAW‑S (pipe) preferred. GMAW‑P qualification required.
- American Welding Society member or Certified Welding Inspector or Supervisor (CWI/CWS) preferred.
