Job Summary The Electrical Assembler will build, wire, and assemble control panels and skid-mounted electrical systems. This role involves interpreting electrical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams to produce high-quality, reliable assemblies that meet industry and customer specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble and wire electrical control panels, junction boxes, and skid-mounted systems.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layout drawings
- Install components such as breakers, relays, PLCs, terminal blocks, power supplies, and instrumentation devices
- Perform point-to-point wiring, cable routing, labeling, and termination according to standards
- Verify work against drawings, BOMs (Bills of Materials), and quality checklists
- Conduct basic electrical testing and continuity checks on completed assemblies
- Ensure compliance with UL, NEC, and company quality and safety standards
- Collaborate with engineers and supervisors to resolve build or design issues
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas
- Support skid integration work including interconnecting wiring between panels and field devices
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of experience in electrical assembly, panel wiring, or industrial electrical work
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
- Experience with control panels, industrial automation, or power generation systems preferred
- Familiarity with PLC-based control systems a plus
- Strong understanding of electrical safety practices
- Attention to detail and high-quality workmanship
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good hand-eye coordination and mechanical aptitude
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Standing, bending, and working in manufacturing/shop environments for extended periods
- Use of hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment
- Manufacturing/shop floor environment (climate controlled)
