Machine Operator Townley Shift : 2nd Shift Compensation: $16.50 per hour Additional overtime available based on business requirements
Purpose of Role:
A machine operator must be reliable and able to work with attention to detail and safety standards. You will need to have a willingness to learn and improve. Being a team player is essential this position requires collaboration with co-workers.
Essential Job Functions:
Set up machines (calibration, cleaning etc.) to start a production cycle
Must be familiar with measuring instruments (measuring tape, calipers)
Control and adjust machine settings (e.g. speed)
Feed raw material or parts to semi-automated machines
Inspect parts with precision and measuring tools
Test operation of machines periodically
Fix issues that might occur during the shift
Check output to spot any machine-related mistakes or flaws
Keep records of approved and defective units or final products
Maintain activity logs Using machine equipment to complete tasks
Performing routine inspections of manufacturing equipment
Evaluating the efficiency of each unit regularly, identifying improvements as needed
Requirements:
Ability to proactively troubleshoot problems
Work as a team within department and with other departments and Leads Proven experience as a machine operator
Working knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery and measurement
Ability to read blueprints, schematics and manuals
Analytical skills and attention to detail
Ability to work scheduled hours and comply with the company's timekeeping policy and all other company policies

Required Physical Demands:
Must be able to lift 50 pounds unassisted.
Physical capability to properly handle tooling and safely set up large pieces; including lifting, pushing, pulling, and positioning products.
Must be able to stand, sit and bend for long periods of time.
Work Environment:
Manufacturing environment: loud noise levels, high temperatures, dirt and sand,Required PPE: steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, dust masks, and/or respirators.
