Position Summary
Performs a variety of sanitation duties in different areas of the facility in accordance with accepted standards, regulations, and procedures.
Responsibilities- Adheres to food safety and safe work practices.
- Cleans equipment if maintenance work is needed during production time (e.g., Skinner, Ice Machine).
- Clean and sanitize all fish and lobster.
- Clean and sanitize the shipping and receiving area.
- Clean and sanitize the specialty room and the equipment within it.
- Maintain the shipping and receiving area free of debris.
- Clean all drains over the shipping and receiving area.
- Perform daily cleaning tasks such as tuna racks, ice vats, utility carts, and other items.
- Perform any other duties as required.
- Basic knowledge of sweeping, emptying trash containers, recleaning, and re‑sanitizing all food processing equipment.
- Available to lift and push trash containers and empty vats.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Regularly required to talk or hear. Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands and arms, and climb or balance. Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Working ConditionsOccasionally exposed to wet, hot, extreme cold and/or humid conditions while moving mechanical parts. May work non‑traditional business hours including evenings, nights, weekends and holidays. May occasionally be required to travel as business needs dictate. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Schedule & CompensationPay:
Starting at $15.00.
Schedule:
Monday to Friday (Thursday off). 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM.
