Inter Metro Industries, a global leader in the manufacturing of storage solutions, is seeking a full-time 7th shift Shipping/Receiving Associate (9:00 a.m.

- 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with shift differential) for its Wilkes-Barre PA Distribution Center.

Associates are required to perform all job duties within the Distribution Center to provide proper support to its operations.

Candidates selected must successfully complete screening requirements and a probationary period of 400 working hours.

These opportunities are part of a bargaining unit rooted in seniority principles, so shifts are not guaranteed. Applicants should be available to work any shift.

• Receive products or materials into the Distribution Center by unloading carriers or containers and putting products into inventory.
• Assist with the management of inventory through proper selecting operations and reporting inventory discrepancies.
• Pick product or material based on customer orders and transport to loading or staging areas.
• Load carriers and containers as required.
• Work by hand, or with hand equipment, load or unload containers that are not palletized.
• Prepare orders, make and apply labels.
• Use a computer to locate products or materials as needed.
• Inspect product and/or packaging for quality.
• Meet production and quality standards.
• Successfully complete the certification process for material handling equipment, including sit‑down forklifts and stand‑up high‑reach forklifts.
• Clean and/or maintain cleanliness of the Distribution Center and assigned work environment.
• Maintain regular attendance.
• Ability to work in a team‑based environment.

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience operating forklifts.
