The Manufacturing Engineerisresponsiblefordesigning ,implementingandreviewingtheproceduresandequipmentinvolvedinthemanufacturingprocess.
Theirdutiesincluderesearchingautomationtechniques,testingnewsystemsforefficiencyandplanningfactorylayoutstooptimizeproduction.
Thisrolewillhelpdevelopquotesfornewandexistingcustomerswhileensuringthebestpriceandthehighestqualitystandardsaremaintained.
- Performtoolingdesignfornewpartrequirementsandplaceorderswithtoolingmanufacturers.
- Supportquoterequestsfromothercompanysalespeopleandmanufacturingbranches.
- Selecting,managing,andworkingwithsub-contractorsforequipmentandfacilityuptimeandmaintenanceprograms.
- Evaluatemanufacturingprocessesandmakerecommendationsforimprovementsinqualityandforcontinuousimprovementactivities.
- Analyzeproductionprocesses,schedules,methodsandotherdataandthenprovidemanagementwithreportscontainingthedataandstatisticstoenablemanagementtobetterunderstandfuturerequirementsneededforthemanufacturingprocess.
- Ensurethatthecompany’smanufacturingprocessesfollowallgovernmentlawsandregulations.
- Reviewandcalculatelabor,materialandotherproductioncostsalongwithreviewingschedulesandfutureproductionrequirementstoassistmanagementindecisionmaking.
- Analyzeandplanworkflow,equipmentplacementandspacerequirementstoimprovemanufacturingefficiency.
- Coordinateequipmentmaintenanceandrepairservicesandmakesurethatmanufacturer’sproceduresandinstructionsarefollowedtokeepproductionequipmentoperational.
- Directlyresponsibleforproductquality.
- Otherdutiesasassigned.
- Bachelor’sdegreeorequivalentindustryexperiencein
Mechanicalor Industrial Engineeringorrelatedfieldpreferred - 5+years’experienceincustomconverting;includingrotary,steelrule,andClass
Atooling. - Demonstratesdiscretion,confidentiality,independentjudgmentandprofessionalism.
- Abilitytoworkwithminimalsupervisionandguidance,exercisingdiscretionandindependentjudgment.
- Activelyparticipatein
Leanprojectsandactivitiesincluding5S,TPM,VSM,etc. - Fundamentalknowledge/experienceinmaintainingISO/Quality Systemprocedures.
- Experience with
AutoCAD/Inventororequivalentpreferred. - Advanceddiecuttingtechniques
- Mustbeabletoreadcustomers’designprints
- Stronganalyticalskills
- Goodinformationtechnologyskills

- AbilitytosafelyandsuccessfullyperformtheessentialjobfunctionsconsistentwiththeADA,FMLAandotherfederal,stateandlocalstandards,includingmeetingqualitativeand/orquantitativeproductivitystandards.
- Abilitytomaintainregular,punctualattendanceconsistentwiththeADA,FMLAandotherfederal,state,andlocalstandards.
- Abilitytotraveltoothermanufacturinglocationstosupport;approximately
20% travel.
