The Loader Operator is responsible for operating heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner. The operator must also clean, maintain and secure all equipment according to policies, procedures, and operator manuals.

• Operate the front-end loader to lift and transport bulk materials to and from storage areas, feed conveyors and hoppers, and load trucks or railcars
• Start engine, shift gears, press pedals, and steer to operate the loader
• Move levers to lower/tilt the bucket and drive the loader to move bulk materials
• Raise/tilt bucket when filled and dump material at the work site
• Verify the quantity of aggregate in storage bins and fill hoppers to ensure materials meet quantity and quality standards
• Perform routine maintenance on loaders (lubrication, fueling, cleaning)
• Contribute to quality and quantity assurance of raw materials per established standards
• Monitor and meet assigned performance indicators
• Support continuous improvement of the plant and surrounding area
• Follow procedures to ensure plant compliance with state, federal, and local regulations
• Participate in ongoing minor maintenance and visual evaluations of plant and equipment
• Collaborate with plant superintendent, batch personnel, and others to resolve problems and improve performance
• May haul cement and/or additives from storage area (bulk or bags)
• Adhere to all Cemex, OSHA, and MSHA rules; wear appropriate safety equipment on plant grounds
• Meet or exceed company safety standards
• Perform other responsibilities as assigned by management

• High School diploma or equivalent

• Be able to read, write, and speak English

• Continuous exposure to extreme heat, cold, noise, and outdoor work
• Must wear protective equipment at the location

• Walking, standing, lifting, pushing, pulling, and climbing required
• Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally; negligible force frequently
• Job involves sitting most of the time but may require brief walking or standing
• Regularly communicate with employees/visitors and operate around heavy rolling equipment
• Must be able to perform all job functions, including pushing, turning, and pulling controls
