Paint Operator

As a Paint Operator, you will be responsible for applying coatings to a variety of manufactured parts, ensuring high-quality finishes and adherence to specifications. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Surface Preparation: Cleaning, degreasing, masking, and preparing surfaces for painting.
• Paint Application: Operating spray guns, electrostatic sprayers, or other painting equipment to apply various types of paints, coatings, and finishes.
• Quality Control: Inspecting finished products for defects, ensuring even coverage, proper thickness, and adherence to quality standards.
• Equipment Maintenance: Performing routine maintenance and cleaning of painting equipment, booths, and tools.
• Mixing and Blending: Accurately mixing and blending paints to achieve desired colors and consistencies.
• Safety Compliance: Adhering to all safety protocols, including wearing appropriate PPE (personal protective equipment) and following hazardous material handling procedures.
• Documentation: Maintaining accurate records of paint usage, production logs, and quality checks.
• Troubleshooting: Identifying and resolving minor issues with equipment or paint application.

• Experience: Proven experience as a Paint Operator, Industrial Painter, or similar role in a manufacturing or production environment (1-3+ years preferred).

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
• Knowledge of surface preparation techniques.

• Dexterity & Hand-Eye Coordination: Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for precise paint application.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50lbs and perform repetitive tasks.
• Safety Conscious: Strong commitment to safety procedures and practices.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot minor issues and adapt to changing production needs.
• Communication: Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and supervisors.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
