Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Visually inspect machines, equipment, and verbal descriptions by operators to locate causes of malfunctions.
- Conducts plant inspections and perform preventative maintenance.
- Installs and/or assembles machinery and equipment according to blueprints and other drawings.
- Performs diagnostic, trouble shooting, and repairs Batch Panels as needed.
- Removes and replaces malfunctioning motors and pumps and realign and adjust such components.
- Performs operations on machines shop equipment such as grinders, band saws, cut off saws, drill press, forklifts, cranes, etc.
- Maintains established housekeeping standards at all times.
- Maintains work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
- Performs work in all areas of the plant using the appropriate personal protective equipment.
- Maintains a strict adherence to company policies, safety policies, and OSHA regulations at all times.
- Possesses a professional attitude while interacting with peers, contractors and general public.
- Must be available to travel and work from other company facilities as needed.
- Stands for long periods of time performing tests in hot weather or current conditions.
- May perform other related duties as required or directed. Including to travel and work from other company facilities as needed.
Requirements:
- Strong mechanical knowledge of machine diagnosis and repairs, and preventative maintenance.
- Basic knowledge of both electrical and hydraulic systems and components.
- Basic knowledge of welding and light fabrication.
- Ability to communicate, understand, and follow both written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to use basic hand tools.
- Must be willing to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays when necessary.
- Regular and timely attendance is required.
- Must pass pre-employment requirements, drug screen, criminal background check and driving record review.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Must demonstrate a strong commitment to safety.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma/GED
- Previous experience in the repair of manufacturing plants is highly desired.
- Must possess a valid and current Driver's License or equivalent.
