Manufacturing Technician - Surface Mount Technology

Location: Malabar

Pay Range: $18.50hr - $23.50hr Job Overview:
The candidate performs a variety of duties in support of the Surface Mount Technology (SMT) process within circuit card assembly manufacturing, with an emphasis on manufacturing floor staging, material flow, and production readiness. The candidate coordinates and stages assemblies, components, feeders, tooling, and related production materials to support SMT operations and ensure work is available for scheduled builds. Responsibilities include verifying job documentation, part availability, kit accuracy, and work order status in applicable manufacturing systems.

The successful candidate supports production flow by moving work through defined staging and manufacturing areas, identifying shortages, mismatches, or process issues, and escalating discrepancies as needed. The candidate works from work instructions, production schedules, travelers, bills of material, and manufacturing system requirements to maintain efficient workflow, traceability, and floor organization. Level: Level B:
The candidate is a developing support individual contributor who works under general supervision. Work is less structured within identified boundaries and procedures. The candidate identifies problems and issues in straightforward situations. Nature of Supervision:
The candidate works under general supervision. Less detailed instructions are provided and moderate peer review is required. Communication & Influence:
The candidate communicates with contacts typically within the department on matters that involve obtaining or providing information requiring explanation or interpretation to understand and reach agreement. Innovation & Complexity:
The candidate follows established processes to complete tasks, identifies problems and issues in straightforward situations, and escalates issues to a supervisor for resolution. Organization Impact:
The candidate works to achieve operational targets within the job area which has some impact on the overall achievement of results for the team. Work is somewhat limited in scope, typically on smaller, less structured task-related activities.

Education & Experience:

The role requires developing job knowledge and skills. The candidate must have a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4+ years of prior relevant experience, or a 2-year post-secondary/associate's degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. Benefits:
