Operator is responsible for operating Hydromat machining equipment and meeting production requirements and demands. This entry level position provides opportunities for growth learning basic machinist skills, use of gauging equipment with good manufacturing practices.

• Perform all job duties in a safe manor and adhere to 5-S practices.
• Ability to read product prints to ensure part quality.
• Control plan basic review and understanding of limits & audit quantities.
• Good communication skills to the setter and leads of the area.
• Properly fill out daily required documentation such as production logs, and quality logs.
• Pre-start machine checks (i.e. check fluid levels, machine warm-up, etc.)
• Able to start machine and monitor machine and part quality adhering to all quality and production standards.
• Able to recognize machine issues and shut down equipment when necessary.
• Perform all required quality checks during production.
• Able to inspect bar stock prior to loading onto the machine.
• Ability to use hand gauging equipment such as calipers, micrometers, gage pins, etc.
• Audit parts using CMM and understand report results.
• Team Participation.

• Ability to read, write and interpret standard documentation in English.
• Ability to learn and follow standard work practices.
• Previous experience in a machining manufacturing environment preferred.
• Standing and walking up to 100% of work time.
• Daily exposure to manufacturing environment.
• Exposure to cutting fluids, sharp tooling, and industrial solvents.
• Machining chips.

• Must be able to work 2nd shift (2:30pm - 10:30pm).
• Must be able to work overtime and weekends as required.
• Must be able to lift 40 pounds.
• Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
