Digital Media & Web Specialist
Part‑time position focused on producing and implementing digital media, audiovisual, and website updates to support library communications, outreach, and events.
Key Responsibilities- Produce, edit, and format audiovisual content (video, graphics, short‑form media) based on approved concepts and directions from the supervising librarian.
- Edit and prepare social media, digital displays, and promotional content for release in accordance with specifications.
- Prepare social media assets (reels, graphics, captions) for review, ensuring alignment with Barry University brand and marketing guidelines and making revisions as requested.
- Implement approved website updates using the library’s CMS: text edits, image/media placement, and layout adjustments within existing templates.
- Confirm accuracy, accessibility, and consistency of published updates.
- Communicate regularly with the supervising librarian on task progress, deadlines, and deliverables.
- Collaborate with the library staff, including the Library Director, to support Innovation Office initiatives.
- Track assigned work and meet established timelines.
- Bachelor’s degree in digital media, communications, web design, or a related field (required).
- 1–3 years of experience producing audiovisual or digital content (required).
- Proficiency with creative software (e.g., Adobe Creative Cloud or comparable tools).
- Experience updating websites with a CMS.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow established guidelines.
- Ability to manage assigned tasks independently within defined scopes.
- Experience working in higher education, libraries, non‑profits, or institutional settings preferred.
- Familiarity with digital accessibility considerations preferred.
- Experience executing content based on brand or marketing guidelines preferred.
- Comfort working within structured workflows and approval processes.
