The Lifestyle and Communications Director is responsible for the strategic planning, development, promotion, and execution of lifestyle programming and communications that enhance the overall member experience and sense of community. This role plays a critical leadership function in shaping the Club’s identity, brand, and engagement strategy through effective communication, marketing, and collaborative program development. Reporting to the General Manager, the Lifestyle and Communications Director works closely with Club leadership, member committees, and departmental teams—particularly Food & Beverage—to deliver high-quality events, programs, and communications that reflect the needs and interests of the membership.
Key Responsibilities Lifestyle Programming & Member Engagement- Plan, develop, promote, and execute a diverse calendar of social, recreational, and community-wide events aligned with member interests and Club objectives.
- Collaborate closely with member committees to design, refine, and evolve lifestyle programs that reflect the preferences and demographics of the community.
- Actively solicit member feedback and participation to ensure programs remain relevant, engaging, and well‑attended.
- Foster a vibrant and inclusive community atmosphere that enhances member satisfaction and retention.
- Lead all Club communications and marketing initiatives, ensuring consistent messaging, branding, and high‑quality content across all platforms.
- Develop and manage a comprehensive communication strategy including newsletters, email campaigns, website content, social media, and event promotions.
- Create engaging, timely, and visually appealing communications that drive participation and keep members informed.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for community communications, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and professionalism in all messaging.
- Continuously evaluate and improve communication channels to maximize member engagement and outreach effectiveness.
- Coordinate logistics for all events, including scheduling, vendor management, setup, and execution in partnership with internal departments.
- Work closely with the Food & Beverage Director to ensure seamless event planning and delivery.
- Assist residents with facility reservations, including scheduling, coordination, and fee processing as applicable.
- Prepare and manage the annual lifestyle and communications budget, ensuring responsible financial oversight and alignment with Club goals.
- Monitor expenses related to events, programming, marketing, and vendor services to maintain financial sustainability.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors, entertainers, sponsors, and service providers to enhance programming quality.
- Ensure all vendor agreements, insurance requirements, and compliance standards are met.
- Manage and regularly update the Club’s website and digital platforms to ensure accurate, current, and engaging content.
- Utilize communication and design tools to produce high‑quality marketing materials and publications.
- Uphold Troon standards and maintain the highest level of professionalism, ethics, and service.
- Ensure compliance with all safety procedures, policies, and standard operating procedures.
- Perform additional duties, special projects, and assignments as directed by Management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Hospitality, Recreation, Event Management, or a related field preferred.
