POSITION SUMMARYThe Events & Volunteer Engagement Manager is responsible for coordinating and executing events across the Education Foundation, ensuring a high-quality, consistent experience that supports fundraising, program engagement, and community connection. This role serves as the central coordinator for event logistics and execution, working across departments to bring events to life efficiently and effectively. In addition, this position supports the coordination and engagement of volunteers who contribute to events and selected programmatic initiatives.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and execution-focused, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Coordinate and execute events across the organization, ensuring consistency, quality, and alignment with event goals.
- Manage event logistics including timelines, vendors, contracts, run‑of‑show, and on‑site execution.
- Support delivery of events across all categories:
- Signature events (e.g., Luncheon, Bridge Run, Teacher of the Year)
- Donor and community engagement events
- Programmatic events (student, educator, PLANit)
- Coordinate with internal teams to gather event needs and ensure alignment on logistics and execution.
- Facilitate planning timelines and track key deliverables across teams.
- Clarify roles and responsibilities for each event to support smooth execution.
- Support continuous improvement of event processes, templates, and tools.
- Coordinate volunteers in support of events and selected program activities.
- Assist with volunteer recruitment, scheduling, and communication.
- Support onboarding and basic training for volunteers as needed.
- Maintain volunteer records and communication to ensure a positive experience.
- Partner with Development to support event‑based fundraising efforts, including sponsorship execution and donor experience.
- Support events as a key touchpoint for community engagement and relationship‑building.
- Maintain event planning tools, templates, and documentation.
- Track event logistics and support budget coordination with internal teams.
- Coordinate vendor contracts, payments, and event documentation with the Business Office.
- Manage RSVP systems and event attendance logistics.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in event coordination, nonprofit operations, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in event coordination or project management.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple events and priorities simultaneously.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience working with volunteers or community partners preferred.
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, evolving environment.
Salary range: $55,000 – $65,000. This is a full‑time, exempt, salaried position with benefits.
