Fire Rescue Volunteer
Volunteers are unpaid individuals who perform services directly related to the business of Citrus County for the benefit of the community. On behalf of the Citrus County Fire Rescue department, volunteers may assist in various capacities, including prevention and warehouse duties.
Responsibilities- Prevention
- Warehouse
- Age – Minimum 14 years old.
- Under 18 cannot engage in hazardous work as defined by the Department of Labor and must be supervised or accompanied by a parent or guardian.
- County reserves the right to terminate the volunteer relationship at any time.
- No current County employee may volunteer in a capacity similar to their regular paid position.
- Regular‑Service Volunteer – ongoing or continual service.
- Occasional‑Service Volunteer – one‑time or occasional service.
- Community Service Volunteer – court‑ordered volunteer hours as part of probation.
