Volunteer members are uncompensated individuals who perform services directly related to the business of Citrus County to support our humanitarian, charitable or public service activities. Volunteers gain valuable experience in a variety of specific endeavors.

• All volunteers must meet minimum qualifications for placement into any County related assignment, and must be able to perform tasks on behalf of the County.
• Age – Minimum age is 14 years. Volunteers under 18 must be supervised by a parent or guardian and may not engage in hazardous work such as driving, handling chemicals, knives or other hazards.
• Volunteers must agree that the County may terminate the relationship at any time and that a volunteer cannot serve in a capacity similar to any paid position held by a current County employee.
