Essential FunctionsVolunteer members are uncompensated individuals who perform services directly related to the business of Citrus County to support our humanitarian, charitable or public service activities. Volunteers gain valuable experience in a variety of specific endeavors.
Volunteer Qualifications- All volunteers must meet minimum qualifications for placement into any County related assignment, and must be able to perform tasks on behalf of the County.
- Age – Minimum age is 14 years. Volunteers under 18 must be supervised by a parent or guardian and may not engage in hazardous work such as driving, handling chemicals, knives or other hazards.
- Volunteers must agree that the County may terminate the relationship at any time and that a volunteer cannot serve in a capacity similar to any paid position held by a current County employee.
